The Boothster Team

John-Paull Davidson – Founder, Creative Director

Boothster is the brainchild of John-Paull Davidson. A 16 year veteran designer and business developer his roots in sustainable design run deep. As a child, his mother wouldn’t buy him ostentatious, plastic Star Wars toys, but instead had him design his own space ships out of green materials such as cardboard, paper and rope. His latest launch is the Boothster Display System, a 99% biodegradable and non toxic portable green display system for trade shows and retail.

John-Paull loves and is obsessed with design.

Favorite green material: Anything that looks cool and is biodegradable and non toxic

Hayden Thompson – Director of Client Services

Self proclaimed Manager of Chaos, Hayden Thompson keeps said chaos to a minimum while staying cool, calm and collected.  Hayden keeps Boothster’s clients, designers and builders on the same page from the beginning to the end of every project.  Hayden’s dream has always been to work for a business focused on positive environmental impact.

Always with a bike by his side, Hayden enjoys a ride across the city and, once in a while, across the state.

Favorite green material: Renewable bamboo plywood

Dan Lococo – 3D Design, Fabrication

Dan Lococo has seen and designed it all, from supermarkets to million dollar homes.  We’re so glad he’s added green tradeshow booths to his repertoire.  Dan’s ecological design principals are the foundation of the Boothster design concept and he strives to keep it green down to the minute details.

Dan is the proud owner of two hybrid vehicles (that he converted himself) that run on biofuel and vegetable oil waste collected from local restaurants.  So go ahead, order the fries, you’re helping Dan get to work on time.

Favorite green material: 100% recyclable, indefinitely versatile cardboard tubes

Jason Piper – Graphic Design Manager

Jason Piper can usually be found in Boothster’s printing studio, dreaming up graphic experiences for eco-friendly booths.  Jason couldn’t imagine working anywhere else because he digs Boothster’s unique collaborative creative atmosphere.  An avid board-sports enthusiast, Jason draws artistic inspiration from the stunning landscapes of the Pacific Northwest and from designers such as Alvar Aalto, Frank Gehry and Frank Lloyd Wright.

Outside of Boothster Jason is a hardworking hops farmer and crafts a killer homebrew.

Favorite green material: 100% recyclable eco-board

Crystal Wiese – Project Coordinator

The newest member of the Boothster team, Crystal has jumped on board as a project coordinator. Never without a pen and notebook, “to-do lists” and timelines make her just as excited as an amazing design. With a degree in Design Management from the Art Institute of Portland she has background working with non-profits in event coordination and advertising.

Outside of the studio, you can find Crystal in the kitchen cooking up a gluten free creation and there are no complaints when snacks are brought in to test out.

Favorite green material: 99.6% biodegradable Bamboo Banner that comes from pesticide-free bamboo groves
